Dr Megan Hassall was born in Cairns, Queensland. She graduated from the University of Queensland, in 1977. She has been practicing as a plastic and reconstructive surgeon since 1995, owning her own private practice located in the North Shore Medical Centre, St Leonards. She is a member of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons. Since 1995 she has been a visiting medical officer at Royal North Shore Hospital, North Shore Private Hospital, The Mater Hospital and most recently Lifehouse.
Megan has a special interest in breast reconstructive surgery for the treatment of breast cancer: TRAM flap reconstruction, implant reconstruction and composite reconstructions of the breast following ablative surgery and also for congenital or acquired deformity.
