Dr David Leinkram is an oral and maxillofacial Surgeon who completed his dentistry degree in Melbourne and Medical degree in Sydney. After working as a junior medical officer at the Prince of Wales Hospital, David completed his sugical training at Westmead and John Hunter Hospitals. He was awarded his specialist fellowship in 2012.
The following year, David was appointed as a visiting medical officer at Westmead Hospital and commenced private practice in Bondi Junction. In his work David developed a keen interested in the highly specialised field of head and neck reconstructive procedures following trauma or after large tumours had been removed. To develop these skills, he travelled to China for most of 2015, then he continued his training at Liverpool Hospital throughout 2016 and 2017.
David was then appointed as a visiting medical officer at The Chris O’Brien Lifehouse in 2018. He works collaboratively to reconstruct patients with an emphasis on function and aesthetics. When possible, dental implants that support false teeth will be included in the reconstruction. This work employs advanced digital technologies that facilitate accurate and predictable results.
David’s fascinating surgical journey has been shared with his wife Shlomit, who he married when they were both second year dentistry students. Together, they are the proud parents of 7 beautiful children who keep them busy.
