Associate Professor Daniel Novakovic is an otolaryngologist, head and neck surgeon. He has a clinical appointment at Canterbury Hospital and the Sydney local health district, where he is the head of the ENT department. He is also a Visiting Medical Officer at Chris O’Brien Lifehouse, North Shore Private Hospital, Hunters Hill Hospital and East Sydney Private Hospital. His clinical interests are in laryngeal and upper airways surgery including benign and malignant conditions of the throat.
After completing medical school at the University of Sydney, A/Prof Novakovic completed four years of advanced training in Otolaryngology Head & Neck Surgery and obtained his Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2007. He then completed further international subspecialty fellowship training in Head and Neck Oncology, (University of Toronto) and also in Laryngology and Care of the Professional Voice (New York Centre for Voice and Swallowing Disorders). Daniel has authored a number of peer reviewed publications and book chapters and is regularly invited to speak at both national and international meetings; being actively involved in research.
