Claire graduated from The University of Sydney in 2013 having completed a Bachelor of Applied Science (Speech Pathology) undergraduate degree. She commenced employment at Gosford Hospital where she worked for 4 years before joining the Lifehouse team as a senior speech pathologist. Claire has worked in oncology and head and neck cancer for 3 years based largely in the Central Coast Cancer Centre. Claire has a special interest and skills in laryngectomy and has experience and training working across a range of other caseloads including respiratory, critical care and tracheostomy, and in conducting instrumental evaluation i.e. videofluoroscopy and FEES (Fiberoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing). Claire is passionate about working with patients and their families to achieve their goals regarding swallowing and communication to improve their overall quality of life.
