Dr Chan is a specialist breast and general surgeon who prides her practice on taking the time to provide comprehensive and complete information to her patients and families. She has extensive international experience, working in breast surgery at Tan Tock Seng Hospital, one of the largest hospitals in Singapore, and at the famous L’Institut du Sein in Paris, France, with a focus on oncoplastic breast surgery techniques. She also worked as clinical surgical superintendent at the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital for 2 years.
Dr Chan received her bachelors degrees in Medical Science, Medicine and Surgery with honours from the University of Sydney, and underwent specialist surgical training in Sydney, becoming a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2011. She has a special interest in genetic breast mutations, and was awarded a Masters of Surgery from the University of Sydney for her research into genetic biomarkers in breast phyllodes tumours. She is also a faculty member with the Australian School of Medical Imaging lecturing in Breast Ultrasound, and is an active member of BreastSurgANZ.
Dr Chan is appointed at the Chris O’Brien Lifehouse and Strathfield Private Hospital, and also works with Breastscreen NSW at RPA and the Sydney Breast Clinic. She is available for consultations in Chinese.
