Associate Professor Natalka Suchowerska
Associate Professor Natalka Suchowerska currently holds a full-time tenured position leading medical physics research at Chris OBrien Lifehouse and University of Sydney. She graduated with a PhD in medical physics from the University of Sydney, following a career in clinical physics.
Her work broadly aims to use novel technologies and fundamental science to improve the treatment of cancer patients and enable high quality effective treatments.
Natalka holds a patent portfolio and has an established track record of translating research funding into clinically successful outcomes. Some of her research technologies are currently being developed towards commercial products for radiation dosimetry.
Natalka has mentored numerous students and her team of researchers have won several awards. In 2007 they were awarded the prestigious IPEM Roberts Prize for the best paper of that year. She has over 60 publications in the last ten years.
