Alex is a breast cancer surgeon, specialising in plastic and reconstructive surgery from the most simple to the very complex cases.
Alex is currently the surgical supervisor for trainees at Royal Prince Alfred Hospitals and teaches microsurgery in a course he developed with Prof Graham Gumley.
Alex completed his undergraduate medical training at the University of New South Wales. He went on to complete a Master of Surgery in Microsurgery at the University of Sydney, where he was awarded the Lowenthal Medal.
He completed the Royal Australian College of Surgeons Surgical Education and Training program in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and went to become the Microsurgical Fellow at the University of Cambridge, UK and is conducting a Fellowship in New York.
