Pele worked at RPAH for many years with her good friend Chris O’Brien before becoming a Nurse Unit Manager at Sydney and Sydney Eye Hospital and passing from liver cancer.

Her loving smile and laugh were known by everyone who met her, she was active in the Tongan community as well as with the Nurses Union. She was also the ex-President of the NUMs society.

Pele supported the education of her family in both Tonga and Australia having worked hard herself for a Masters in Health Administration and Nursing.

She was a Justice of the Peace and a medical volunteer in both Tonga and Australia. She loved gardening and travelled to over 60 countries.

She leaves a loving husband Stephen of 25 years, a son Raymond and his wife Kylie, grandchildren Sione, Maeja, Noah and Ebonie who were all the love her life.

Her motto was “Take it Easy”. She is now resting with family and friends.
