Chris O’Brien Lifehouse is the first hospital in Australia to use the SPY Elite machine which enables surgeons to make confident and safe decisions about whether to perform reconstructive surgery on women after a mastectomy. This can affect whether or not women end up with a failed breast reconstruction or lose their nipple. Associate Professor Sanjay Warrier demonstrated the new technology to the Sydney Morning Herald.
