Still time to get on board for SurFebruary | Chris O'Brien Lifehouse

We may already be 12 days into the month but there is still plenty of time to raise some money during SurFebruary 2020.

Participants have been starting their mornings feeling refreshed and rejuvenated after jumping into the ocean every day. Whether surfing, swimming or paddling, participants have well and truly taken the plunge and embraced the wild weather to catch a wave every day of the month.

SurFebruary founder and cancer survivor Jenna-Lea Clark knows all too well the benefits that exercise, sunlight and being by the sea can have on your physical and mental health after three years of treatment here at Lifehouse. That’s why she created the event, to encourage others to explore how the sea can aid in recovery and promote strong mental well-being. But the benefits aren’t exclusive to those suffering with a diagnosis or going through a difficult time.

The month of sea, sunshine and surf is a great way to connect with nature and yourself while meeting new people, contribute to increase equal access to cancer care and drive innovations in cancer research. There is still plenty of time to donate to help us reach our fundraising goal.

Channel 10 featured the event in the ‘Daily Bailey’ weather segment on February 6, which you can watch below.
