Year 12 is a big year for students, with preparation for HSC demanding much of their energy. For Lifehouse patient Gabbie Wehbe, it was also the year she was diagnosed with sarcoma, a rare form of cancer that affects young people.

The Sydney Morning Herald traced Gabbie’s experiences across the year in an illustrated story in the Good Weekend Magazine. Always the optimist, the first things Gabbie points out are the positive side effects of chemotherapy, namely her acne cleared up and she no longer had to shave her legs.
