Lifehouse staff recognised in Australia Day Honours | Chris O'Brien Lifehouse
 In Lifehouse News

We are extremely proud of two members of the Lifehouse team recognised in this year’s Australia Day Honours.

Our warmest congratulations to Joan Ryan who was awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia for her services to nursing. Joan is a palliative care clinical nurse consultant who works across Chris O’Brien Lifehouse and Royal Prince Alfred Hospital providing compassionate support to patients facing the end of their lives or undergoing chronic pain. Joan has been tireless in her devotion to helping people and their families at this difficult and confronting time.

And heartfelt congratulations to Ray Lotty, our spiritual care coordinator. Ray was awarded the Emergency Services Medal for his 25 years of service to the New South Wales Volunteer Rescue Association. Ray has provided comfort to countless people during moments of extreme distress at accident scenes, including the men and women who attend as rescue operators. Ray is the trusted voice at their sides and he performs this with warmth and compassion.

Congratulations Joan and Ray!
