Improving our cancer detection capabilities | Chris O'Brien Lifehouse
In Corporate Support, Fundraising, OpenHouse News

Thanks to the generous donation of $20,000 from The Honda Foundation, we have purchased two essential pieces of equipment for the Chris O’Brien Lifehouse Rapid Access Endoscopy Service.

Endoscopy allows the doctor to inspect and observe the inside of the body without having to perform major surgery. It is a powerful tool for detecting many types of cancer.

The donation has enabled us to expand our service to meet the growing demand for endoscopies.

We put the grant toward the purchase of an advanced imaging platform and a state-of-the-art LCD monitor. Having access to this equipment ensures we remain at the forefront of medical imaging technology, and is an investment in the wellbeing of the thousands of people who come to us every year for rapid access cancer screening.

To the team at The Honda Foundation, thank you for the wonderful work you do in our communities and for your generous support of Chris O’Brien Lifehouse.
