Country Club

If you would like to meet other regional patients, their families and carers, please join our Country Club.

Our Country Club was born out of a desire to provide support and friendship to families who come to Sydney for treatment and who are sometimes required to undergo treatment for extended periods, away from family, friends and support networks.

The Country Club has proved its worth, with patients using it a place to share time with others in similar circumstances, forging lasting friendships, swapping tips and joining others in outside activities such as meals out or trips to Darling Harbour.

Patients from rural and regional areas are invited to meet on Tuesdays from 11am to 1pm in the patient lounge on the ground floor next to the main lifts.

LivingRoom@home Telehealth Program

LivingRoom@Home seeks to address the health service inequalities faced by rural, regional and remote cancer patients through delivering support to you in your own home.

This eight-week program aims to increase opportunities for supportive care of patients with cancer who undergo surgery and other treatments at the Chris O’Brien Lifehouse. The program is offered free of charge thanks to generous donations.

It includes face to face consultations while you are in hospital, combined with Video Call consultations (over the internet) while at home.
