Not all superheroes wear capes, some are community fundraisers.
Barnaby first got involved in fundraising by taking part in the Ride to Conquer Cancer while his wife Angela was a patient at Lifehouse. Angela sadly passed away in 2016 and that’s when Barnaby decided he wanted to give back to Lifehouse.
He held his first community fundraising event in November 2016, a comedy night called “Give it a CRACK”. This was an event where everyday people could get up and give stand up comedy the best crack they could.
Barnaby received so much amazing support from the community in raising much-needed funds for Lifehouse that he decided to make it an annual event. But that’s not all he’s done to support Lifehouse. He hosted a cocktail party last week and has bravely signed up to skydive to raise more funds on April 29. What an inspiration, go Barnaby – you hero!
Barnaby’s cocktail party was generously supported by All Caked Up who provided delicious desserts and Caitre’d who supplied the yummy finger food.
Although Barnaby is a brave soul, he is not jumping alone! He has managed to rope in other team members for the big plunge – Kyrillos Kyrillos, Jennifer Kyrillo, Gloria Nassif, Tasnia Adiba, Mary Megaala and Irene Hanna. Sincere thanks to all these generous and brave people.
