What is the program?

This eight-week program aims to increase opportunities for supportive care of patients with cancer who undergo surgery and other treatments at the Chris O’Brien Lifehouse. The program is offered free of charge thanks to generous donations.

It includes face to face consultations while you are in hospital, combined with Video Call consultations (over the internet) while at home.

All participants have an initial assessment with a supportive care and integrative medicine specialist. Depending on your needs you may have further consultations with a range of health professionals including:

  • Dietitian
  • Physiotherapist
  • Psych-Oncologist
  • Exercise Physiologist
  • Speech Pathologist

Video Call sessions are all delivered via an Australian government backed service called Health Direct. Each session will last between 15 and 45 minutes.

To enrol: Email telehealth@lh.org.au or call the LivingRoom on 8514 0038 for more information.
