Patient Advocate Gail O’Brien

You will see Gail walking around the hospital and visiting with patients in her role as Patient Advocate. Her own experiences through the illness of her late husband Chris O’Brien’s illness over a period of two-and-a-half years taught her much from the perspective of the patient and carer. The subsequent serious illnesses of two of her children also left lasting impressions that she carries into this role. Gail’s hope is that by visiting patients with a “listening heart”, they will find it valuable and beneficial. If you come across Gail, please do stop and say hello.
